Internship

​This was my first internship experience, I was able to intern for a local farmer who needed some assistance during harvest and calving season. Through this internship I found my passion for breeding dogs. After I graduate from Northwest Missouri State University, I intend to breed working border collies, cattle and hogs. I have great respect for this family and I am grateful for their hospitality. Some of my duties included:

• Responsible for care of dog breeding, pup operation, farrowing facilities and

sow cesarean sections

• Gained insight on hog production facilities

• Learned the impact a small family can have on the industry

• Over saw the production of a cow calf herd
