Internship

​At Klocke Farms Inc., I had many new adventures. I had never worked in a large scale hog operation before so everything was completely new to me. Although it was hard and strenuous work, I grew to enjoy working in the swine production industry. Some of my responsibilities included:

• Maintained individual sow and piglet health and detected sick sows

• Hand feeding sows that had not farrowed yet

• Preserved piglet health and vaccinations and maintaining daily records for sows

• Demonstrated biosecurity
